MOLINE, Kan. (AP) _ Lightning has destroyed an El Dorado house and a Moline church that dated to the 1800s.
The Wichita Eagle (http://bit.ly/KC1egx ) reported that the lightning struck early Friday when a powerful line of thunderstorm rolled through the area.
El Dorado Fire Capt. Ricke Whiteside says the fire-damaged house will be a ``total loss.'' As the storms moved east, lightning hit the bell tower of the Moline Christian Church. Pastor Stan Rumbaugh says the church may be as much as 130 years old.
For now, the 40-member congregation will meet at the American Legion building.
