TOPEKA, Kan (WIBW)--Legislators were honored today for their support for transportation in the area Monday.
Economic Lifelines held a special ceremony for a group of senators and representatives.
The state's current transportation program--T-Works will add 37 major improvement projects and return 10 million dollars back to the Kansas economy.
A number of legislators from across the state were honored, including local senators Laura Kelly, Vicki Schmidt, Anthony Hensley.
Those that attended the ceremony received a plaque for their hard work.
T-Works provides 175,000 construction and supplier jobs.
