LAWRENCE, Kan. (WIBW) -- The Lawrence man for whom a Silver Alert was issued on Tuesday was found dead in a hospital parking lot, the Lawrence Police Dept. confirmed on Thursday.
George Sundstrom had been missing since Feb. 6 and was found in his 2006 Toyota Corolla in a parking lot outside of Lawrence Memorial Hospital around 8:00 p.m. Tuesday night the 11th.
Officers were immediately able to tell the car belonged to Sundstrom, but they could not confirm his identity. The body was taken to Frontier Forensics in Kansas City for an autopsy.
On Thursday, authorities said the autopsy had been completed and the body was confirmed to be George Sundstrom.
At this time, investigators do not suspect foul play.
