TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)__ Patti Bossert, owner of Key Staffing, and her 25 employees will be celebrating 25 years in business.
Running a successful company along side of family was something that started with a little motivation and has expanded from there.
"I love what i'm doing and now two of my kids have joined me in the business and they help keep me motivated. So we also opened an office in Sioux Falls South Dakota 15 years ago, and now we just signed a lease on a space in Manhattan and we're going to open there too." Shared Patti.
Expanding as a business is a product of their community involvement which Bossert's son Paul says has been paramount to getting nominated for such a great award.
"I think we develop a lot of different relationships and relationships that are lasting that we care about. The organizations that we join, we try to join leadership positions and be impactful in those organizations." Stated Paul Bossert.
Sometimes the biggest impact is getting to see the difference they make in their client's lives through helping them find that productive path to success. Not only through a job, but a dream as well.
"One of the best parts of it is when you get a lot of grace and thanks from employees that have found their life-long careers and it's really fun to watch." Shared Paul
Even life-long careers have to start somewhere, and as Patti points out, it all starts with you.
"I started out with just myself and a receptionist and soon learned that i needed to hire another person to help out. I really never anticipated that it would grow to the size it is today." Patti said.
Key Staffing has made it to 10-million in sales and more to this day. What the future holds for the company depends on where her children decide to take her legacy.
"I'm very encouraged since I've been here and throughout the years. I really enjoy what i do, and i think that carrying it forward is going to be very important and I think growing it even more is something that I'll look forward to doing." Says Paul.
