TOPEKA, Kan (WIBW)__ Former professional baseball player Ken Berry has turned in his glove for a typewriter in hopes of inspiring children.
Berry stopped by Ken Berry Field, named in his honor, to autograph his books for area kids.
Berry has written a few children's books about overcoming odds. He is a huge Vince Flynn fan and wanted to write about black ops, but when he sat down to write something else came out.
Berry continues to write children's books adding that he's often inspired by his own children.
