TOPEKA, Kan (WIBW)--Kansas State University is getting big bucks to train and educate students about America's nuclear industry.
Secretary of Energy Steven Chu announced today that KSU was awarded more than $291 thousand in research reactor upgrades and fellowships.
The money comes from the energy department's nuclear energy university program and integrated university program.
Nationally, 46 colleges and universities will share the $47 million offered by the energy department.
