TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Topeka City Council members will hear the final conceptual plan this week (5/6) for redesigning Kansas Avenue.
The design team and engineers will present the conceptual plan at Tuesday's City Council meeting. They say the concept will promote downtown Topeka as a place where businesses can locate and succeed.
Officials say a major focus of the plan is to distinguish what is the financial responsibility of the city, and what should come from the private sector.
The team will also present a budget, that's based upon estimates. They say working drawings and a more specific budget will come at a later date.
City Council members will not vote on any aspect of the Kansas Avenue plan this Tuesday.
