Kansas Woman Pleads Guilty To $800,000 Embezzlement

TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) _ A Dickinson County woman admits that she embezzled more than $800,000 from a credit union where she worked.

Federal prosecutors announced Tuesday in a statement that 46-year-old Pamela Emig of Solomon pleaded guilty last week to one count of embezzlement. She admitted that she embezzled $817,167 while working at Enterprise Credit in Enterprise from 2005 to 2011.

Emig said she wrote checks between credit union accounts under her control to hide her embezzlement.

She will be sentenced Feb. 11.
