TOPEKA, Kan. -- In recognition of the service of the men and women of the Kansas National Guard to the state and nation, Kansas Speedway has donated 3,000 tickets for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Race – Hollywood Casino 400 racing event on Sunday, Oct. 21.

“We appreciate the sacrifices the men and women of the Kansas National Guard and their families make to let us be able to host races at Kansas Speedway,” said Kansas Speedway President Pat Warren. “These tickets represent a small thank you of our deep appreciation for what they do and I hope they are able to enjoy an exciting day at the races.”

“By the response we always receive when Kansas Speedway donates tickets, it is clear that the men and women of the Kansas National Guard love NASCAR,” said Maj. Gen. Lee Tafanelli, the adjutant general. “Such generosity always makes us feel appreciated and I thank Kansas Speedway on their behalf.”

Kansas Speedway has donated tickets to other race events and has allowed their facilities to be used for Kansas National Guard training events. Kansas National Guard members have also been honored as special guests during racing events at Kansas Speedway.
