TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - The State of Kansas made high marks for its economic development efforts.
"Site Selections" magazine ranked Kansas first in its region for economic development projects and 13th overall for expansions and new facilities opened in 2012.
The state had 122 new facilities and expansions last year, and 274 over the past three years.
Kansas Commerce Secretary Pat George said Kansas is one of the best performers across the country at helping businesses open and expand. He says the state will continue to work hard to become even more competitive in supporting job growth.
