TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) Kansas First Lady Mary Brownback and Governor Sam Brownback will announce the winners of the Kansas Book Festival 2014 Grant Program Monday, March 31.
First started in 2011, the Kansas Book Festival Foundation is a yearlong effort to encourage reading among Kansans and support Kansas libraries. The grants are being awarded to Kansas school and public libraries to promote literacy and assist with book and technology needs.
The 2014 Kansas Book Festival will be September 13 at the Kansas State Capitol in Topeka.
