TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Kansas commerce is booming, according to recent data, and exports are growing.

The state's export levels are the second highest on record, exporting $11.6 billion worth in 2012, and that's almost $2 billion more than 2010.

The Kansas Department of Commerce says businesses are doing well in international markets. The industries seeing the most success are oil seeds, grain, fruit, plants, and industrial machinery.

Kansas exports to Canada, Mexico, China and Japan the most.
