The attack happened shortly before 6 p.m. in 700 block of East 3rd Street in Hoisington. That's in Barton County.

According to Hoisington Police, a 4-year-old boy was playing in the backyard of a home when a neighbor's pit bull jumped the fence and attacked him.

The dog was later put down, and tested negative for rabies. Police say the neighbor is facing possible charges for having a vicious animal
