C&R Plating Owner Headed To Jail For Polluting Sewer System

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- A north central Kansas business owner is charged with violating the Clean Water Act. Kevin Cline, 55, owns of C&R Plating out of Minneapolis, Kansas.

He was indicted on charges of making false statements to the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, failing to notify of changes to their wastewater pre-treatment equipment, failing to report a bypass pre-treatment equipment and illegally introducing pollutants into a sewer system.

If convicted, Cline faces three years in federal prison and a fine up to $50,000 per day.
