TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- The Miracle on Kansas Ave. parade and Rescue Run is just days away!
On Saturday, the city will shut down several downtown roads to make way for the parade and runners. With so much of the area closed, city officials have recommended where you can park. (see map below)
A free shuttle bus service will be provided by Topeka Metropolitan Transit Authority, including ParaTransit service from 8th & Madison parking lot to Quincy Street Station 800 blk SE Quincy
Many businesses in the area will remain open during the parade and run, city officials said. They did note, though, there may be limited access to vehicle traffic from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Anyone who wants to be in the parade needs to report to the staging area entrance at 8th and Harrison. They are required to enter at 8th and Topeka.
Trailers longer than 30 feet will need to report to the 13th and Kansas entrance and will enter at 17th Kansas.
Rapped Tagging is required of any motorized vehicles driven in the parade. Drivers must have a valid driver's license.
