Kansans Walk To End Alzheimer's

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) Hummer Sports Park hosted the annual Walk To End Alzheimer's Saturday morning.

Participants didn't need to have been affected by the disease to take part in the walk, only in favor of finding a cure.

"I think the most beneficial thing is just realizing how good we are doing just raising the money and to try and alleviate this disease, or at least slow it down," said participant Fred Holroyd.

The Alzheimer's Association is striving to use money raised from the nationwide event to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research and to reduce the risk of dimentia through the promotion of brain health...

You can donate to the Alzheimer's Association on thier website at act.alz.org.
