WICHITA, Kan. (AP) _ The University of Kansas School of Medicine has named a new dean for its Wichita campus.
Gerold Minns, associate dean for academic affairs for the medical school's Wichita site, has been selected to serve as dean beginning Aug. 1. He replaces current dean, H. David Wilson, who is leaving to become special assistant to the dean for educational development at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine.
The Lawrence Journal-World reports (http://bit.ly/LdrdKn ) that Minns graduated from the KU School of Medicine in Wichita and also finished his residency and training there. Minns was also chairman of the department of internal medicine there from 1994 to 2003.
