KU Cancer Center To Receive National Cancer Institute Designation
LAWRENCE, Kan. (WIBW) - A big honor and major goal for an area health center is becoming reality.
The University of Kansas Cancer Center has won its quest for National Cancer Institute designation.
A formal announcement is expected in mid-July.
The University of ansas applied for the designation in September.
U.S. Senator Jerry Moran says National Cancer Institute designation would dramatically enhance the KU Cancer Center's ability to discover, develop and deliver innovative treatments and recruit the best and brightest researchers.
