TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Kansans are stepping up to take charge of seasonal affective disorder and other depressive illnesses.
University of Kansas professor Dr. Stephen Ilardi hosted a "Banish The Blues" lecture Wednesday night at the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library.
Dr. Ilardi discussed his findings that humans were not meant for the modern pace of life -- which can be frenzied and sleep deprived.
You can find his book "The Depression Cure: The 6-Step Program to Beat Depression Without Drugs" at the library.
