TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Topeka's newest television station is vying to broadcast on Cox Cable channel 12, the channel you see us on WIBW-TV.
KSQA is owned by Barbara Wade and Cooper-Fowler Media. It's viewed off-air on channel 12, a position Cox Cable has said causes interference for you viewing WIBW.
KSQA, that began broadcasting last October, has filed a complaint with the Federal Communications Commission against Cox Communications Kansas. The station demands that Cox carry it on the radio frequency channel, rather than the major channel number, channel 22.
Cox has responded to the FCC, calling the demand untimely and erroneous, and saying it should be dismissed.
