(WIBW) - Sherry Best from the Topeka and Shawnee Co. Public Library joined Melissa on 13 News at 4 to discuss the following new exhibit:

What: Kansas Artist Craftsmen Association: Material mastery and Members Exhibition
When: October 5 – November 2 (We participate in First Friday Artwalks)
Where: Alice C. Sabatini Gallery at the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library, 1515 SW 10th Ave.

What you will see: · The latest in contemporary work in clay, fiber, metal and mixed media · There are two categories on exhibit (1) Member Exhibition and (2) Materials Mastery – all pieces judged as excellent representations of the craft by Juror Sherry Leedy, Sherry Leedy Contemporary Art, Kansas City, MO. · Visitors to the Gallery will help select the People’s Choice award by casting a vote for a favorite among 47 entries.

The People’s Choice as well as Juror’s Awards will be announced Nov. 2 during the First Friday ArtWalk, which is your time to meet the artists.
