KHP Works 4 Fatalities Over Labor Day Weekend

KHP reports four fatal accidents and four DUI-related crashes over the Labor Day weekend.

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - The Kansas Highway Patrol reports four fatal accidents - one of them alcohol-related - on Kansas highways over the Labor Day holiday weekend.

Numbers released Wednesday show that, in addition to the fatality, KHP worked three other alcohol-related crashes during the counting period from 6 pm Friday thru 11:59 pm Monday.

Troopers also made 39 drunk driving arrests, issued nearly 1800 speeding tickets and warnings, issued nearly 400 seatbelt and child restraint warnings and citations, and assisted more than 1100 motorists.
