TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW0 - State troopers issued more than 1,400 speeding citations over the long independence day holiday.
The Kansas Highway Patrol worked one fatal crash that was not alcohol related between July 3rd and July 7th.
They made 37 DUI arrests but report no DUI related crashes.
In addition, troopers issued 525 adult seatbelt citations, 18 teen seatbelt citations and 70 child restraint citations, plus, assisted more than 1,500 motorists during the holiday weekend.
