Topeka, Kan. (WIBW) - The Kansas Department of Transportation has travel tools to help keep you safe during your travels. The services are free and available anytime you need them during your trip.
KanDrive is KDOT's traveler information gateway for Kansas and the surrounding states. The program features motion camera views, camera images and an interactive map of Kansas roads, road conditions and work zones. The program also links to helpful transportation resources, such as Kansas Turnpike information, Kansas Byways and weather information.
KDOT also encourages travelers to use other traveler services. The 511 Mobile site provides maps, road conditions, work zones and links to weather. The site can be accessed at http://511mm.ksdot.org.
They are also encouraging travelers to use the 511 phone. Travelers can call 511 from anywhere in Kansas from any phone to get route-specific road conditions, work zone information, and travel-related weather information.
