TOPEKA, Kan. -- Wade Wiebe and Kent Olson have joined the Kansas Department of Transportation in leadership roles. Wiebe is the agency’s new Director of Partner Relations and will oversee communications and other dealings with both internal and external partners. Olson will assume the position of KDOT’s Director of Fiscal and Asset Management.
Wiebe was previously manager of the Innovation Growth Program at the Kansas Department of Commerce. Before that, he served as Investment University Program Manager at Kansas Technology Enterprise Corporation.
Olson, who worked at KDOT previously (1992-96), has most recently been the Kansas Department of Administration Inspector General. Prior to that, Olson was Director of Accounts and Reports at the Kansas Department of Administration.
“These additions reflect my, and the agency’s, commitment for KDOT to be a key player in Governor’s Brownback’s economic initiatives for Kansas while delivering that commitment in the most effective and efficient way possible,” said Mike King, Kansas Secretary of Transportation.
Wiebe started at KDOT June 21and Olson joined the agency June 25.
