Jury Trial Set In Topeka Christmas Day Murder Case

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - The suspect in a Christmas night murder will face a jury in July.

LaVance Thompson is charged with first degree murder in the shooting death of James Sanders at an apartment complex off SW 22nd and Wanamaker.

In late December U.S. Marshals arrested Thompson in Independence, Missouri.

A jury trial for the case is scheduled to begin on July 9th, 2012.
