Junction Police Investigate Sexual Assaults

JUNCTION CITY, Kan. (WIBW) -- Junction City police are investigating two rapes after a woman showed up at the hospital and reported that she and another victim were sexually assaulted by the same man.

An officer was called to the Geary Community Hospital on Saint Mary’s Road in Junction City around 11:30 PM Monday, September 24, 2012.

Junction City Police Chief Tim Brown says a 19-year-old woman reported at the hospital that she was raped by individual “known to her” and told police that another victim was sexually assaulted by the same man. The other alleged assault took place “outside of Junction City,” Brown said.

No other details are being released at this time.

The matter remains under investigation.
