Junction City Auto Burglaries Increasing

JUNCTION CITY, Kan (WIBW)-- Junction City officials are warning residents to lock their cars after a recent increase in vehicle burglaries.

The Junction City Police Department said they have seen an increase in car burglaries in the past several weeks.

In most of those thefts, authorities say that the vehicles have been left unlocked.

The JCPD is encouraging everyone to lock their doors, and tuck valuables away somewhere out of sight.

Officials are also asking anyone who sees someone looking into parked car windows, or involved in any other suspicious activity to report that to the police.
