A Johnson County man has pleaded guilty to a child pornography charge, U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom said Monday.
James Fleshman, 22, Gardner, Kan., pleaded guilty to one count of receiving and distributing child pornography. At his plea hearing, prosecutors told the judge that an undercover officer used the Internet to access child pornography contained on Fleshman’s computer. When investigators served a search warrant on Fleshman’s computer they found more than 600 images of child pornography.
He is set for sentencing July 31. He faces a penalty of not less than five years and not more than 20 years and a fine up to $250,000. Grissom commended the FBI and Assistant U.S. Attorney Kim Martin for their work on the case.
