Jefferson County Man Found Safe, Silver Alert Canceled

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A silver alert has been canceled for an elderly man who went missing from Jefferson County Friday.

Jefferson County authorities say 84-year-old William Larkin has been located in Topeka.

He made a stop in Topeka around 1:30 p.m. asking for directions to his home in Nortonville.

The Kansas Highway Patrol confirms Larkin is back home.


84 year old William Larkin was last seen in Topeka at 1:30 p.m. Friday asking for directions to Nortonville, Kansas. He is a white man, six feet tall, weighing 185 lbs.

Larkin is bald with brown eyes and a goatee, and is wearing wire framed glasses, a rust colored shirt and khaki pants.

He is driving a white 1994 Chevy Corisca with Kansas tag 318-CGK.

Anyone with information is asked to call Jefferson County authorities at 863-2351.
