TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - An injury accident in southeast Topeka was probably caused by inattention, police say.
Police were called to a car-pedestrian accident at SE 31st Street and SE Indiana Avenue shortly before 5 p.m. this afternoon.
Authorities say the 60-year-old female driver of a maroon Dodge Caravan travelling southbound on Indiana struck a 68-year-old woman as she was crossing the street to get to her car.
Police say they don't suspect any speeding to be involved, just inattentiveness.
The elder woman has been transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.
The driver and three passengers are unharmed.
