NEAR GRANTVILLE, Kan. (WIBW) - An Oklahoma City woman is identified as the victim of an accident in Jefferson County.
Around 10:45 am Tuesday, the Kansas Highway Patrol says a Mercury Mountaineer and Suburban were both westbound on Highway 24, about a mile east of the K4 junction. KHP says the Mountaineer was in the right lane and the Suburban was on the left when the Mountaineer hit the Suburban in the passenger side, causing the Suburban to spin into the median and roll one-and-a-half times.
A passenger in the Suburban, 33-year old Brandy Bell of Oklahoma City, was killed. Her six-year old son suffered a minor injury, while her husband and two other children ages four and one were not hurt.
The Moutaineer's driver, 67-year-old Sandra Morris of Perry, also wasn't hurt.
KPH says everyone involved in the wreck was properly restrained.
