CARBONDALE, Kan. (WIBW) -- Osage County law enforcement officials were on the scene Sunday afternoon where they made a gruesome discovery Saturday night.

Osage County Sheriff Laurie Dunn says crews were called just before 8 p.m. Saturday night to rural Carbondale, in the area of 118th Court.

Dunn says deputies found decomposing human remains, including a skull.

Crews secured the area and continued searches Sunday. They say they'll search Monday, too. First Call of Kansas was called in to assist.

Anyone with information is asked to call Osage County Crimestoppers at 1-877-OSCRIME.
