TOPEKA, KAN. – One of the most popular games ever offered by the Kansas Lottery is back – and it’s bigger and better than ever! Sales for this year’s Holiday Millionaire Raffle start today, October 1, with tickets available at Lottery retailers throughout the state. This is the fifth year for the Holiday Millionaire Raffle. In addition to the $1,000,000 top prize, there are 7,560 other prizes!

Statewide Promotional Events
To get players and retailers excited about this year’s Holiday Millionaire Raffle, Kansas Lottery representatives are holding in-store promotions throughout the state October 1-18.

What Players Need to Know
For the first time in the history of the game, the Holiday Millionaire Raffle is loaded with $50 “instant win” prizes. That means thousands of players will automatically receive surprise coupons good for $50 cash at the same time they purchase their Holiday Millionaire Raffle tickets. The instant win coupons, which will be generated each time a predetermined number of tickets are sold, will be issued throughout the state and throughout the run of the game. They can be cashed at any Lottery retailer location.

Players have a strong incentive to purchase tickets early. The Kansas Lottery is again offering Early Bird drawings, giving players who purchase tickets early a chance to win $10,000 in each drawing. Two $10,000 winning numbers will be drawn in each of five Early Bird drawings to be held October 13, 20, 27, and November 3 and 10.

Only 175,000 Holiday Millionaire Raffle tickets will be sold at $20 each. Except for the Early Bird winners and the Instant Win winners, all winning tickets will be drawn in the grand prize drawing December 31, 2013. There are a total of 7,561 prizes in this year’s raffle! Here’s what they are:

If a player buys a ticket before an Early Bird drawing, their ticket will be eligible for that drawing, all subsequent Early Bird drawings, and the $1 million grand prize or other prizes on December 31, 2013. It is possible for the same ticket to win in all five Early Bird drawings and the $1 million grand prize drawing. Tickets sold after the final Early Bird drawings will only be eligible for raffle prizes drawn December 31, 2013.

A unique 6-digit raffle number will print on each Holiday Millionaire Raffle ticket. Tickets are Quick Pick only. Players must match their numbers in exact order to those drawn by the Lottery to win. Players should put their tickets in a safe place after purchase. Remember – winners must produce their original Holiday Millionaire Raffle tickets to claim their prizes.
