TOPEKA, Kan (WIBW)__ Highland Park High School students held their commencement ceremony at the Kansas Expocentre Saturday.

Students donned green and red graduation robes in true scott spirit. Friends, family and educators shared the special moment with the graduates.

The choir's rendition of "I Hope You Dance" filled the arena as the seniors got ready for their next stage of life.

Graduates shared feelings about the big moment before walking across that stage. Some were nervous while others were proud of their accomplishments.

School administrators say one-third of this year's graduates were honor students.
