TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - High school seniors excelling in academics will be recognized Sunday.
The 29th annual Governor's Scholars Award Program will recognize the top academic one percent of high school seniors.
Students are chosen from both public and private schools across the state.
Confidence in Kansas Public Education Task Force coordinates the program for Governor Sam Brownback. The ceremony is funded by donations from private sector businesses in kansas.
The program begins at 12:45 p.m. at the Lee Arena in the Petro Health Center on the Washburn Campus.
