TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A Crime Stoppers tip led police to a violent offender who earlier in the day they'd featured in a public call for assistance to located.
Crime Stoppers Det. Doug Searcy says Deshana S. Nelson was located 2129 SE Kentucky. Nelson was Crime Stoppers "Featured Registered Offender" in a news release earlier in the day Tuesday.
Nelson was convicted of involuntary manslaughter for an August 2002 fatal stabbing in central Topeka. Authorities were looking for her because she had not properly registered with authorities, as the courts required.
