TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- The preliminary hearing for the trio charged with shooting and killing 20-year-old Matthew Mitchell on the Topeka West High School grounds wrapped up Wednesday morning.
Mitchell was shot and killed following the October 23 incident.
Twenty-year-old Samantha Hochard, charged with first-degree felony murder, was arraigned on Wednesday. Coty Newman, 21-years-old, and 19-year-old Austin Tabor will be arraigned Thursday.
The three are also charged with conspiracy to sell and the attempted sale of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school zone.
Police have said Mitchell's death was a drug deal gone bad.
Treshawn Wynne, 17-years-old, also suffered gunshot wounds during the incident.
On Tuesday, Wynne testified guns were already drawn when Mitchell showed up.
Prosecutors are questioning whether Mitchell's shooting was a drug deal gone bad or if Mitchell was lured to the Topeka West High School grounds, to be killed execution-style.
