Hearing Set For Man Accused Of Fatally Stabbing His Brother

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A pre-trial hearing is set for a Topeka man accused of stabbing his brother to death.

50-year-old Curtis Small is charged with voluntary manslaughter in the death of his brother, 41-year-old Scottie Taylor.

Topeka Police were called to a domestic dispute on July 11th at a trailer park in the 1900 block of Southeast Adams. Officers found Taylor suffering stab wounds. He was taken to a local hospital where he died a shot time later.

In court Friday, Small waived his preliminary hearing and pleaded not guilty to the charges. He is set to appear in court December 14th. A trial date is not yet set.
