TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) _ A northwest Kansas resident has come forward to claim a $1 million cash prize in Wednesday's Powerball drawing.
The Kansas Lottery said Friday the person lives in Hays but has chosen to remain anonymous, as allowed by state law.
The winning ticket matched the first five numbers but not the Powerball in Wednesday's drawing, which had a $425 million jackpot.
Lottery officials say the million-dollar Kansas ticket was sold at Cerv's 2, a convenience store in Hays.
