TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- A half-cent sales tax question will appear on the November ballot, but will not fund a project one Shawnee County Commissioner believes should be included.
The commissioners voted 2 to 1 Monday morning on the interlocal agreement with the city of Topeka.
City Council members voted 6 to 3 last week to agree on language included in the countywide half cent sales tax ballot question.
Shelly Buhler cast the lone "no" vote this morning, because funding for Willard Bridge was removed.
Buhler said she believes that project should be included among those that would receive funds from the 241 million dollar sales tax revenue plan.
The ballot question is scheduled to appear in the November 4th general election.
