TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- Animal Outreach of Kansas wants the Topeka Zoo's elephants moved to a new home out of state.

The group has put up a billboard near the zoo. They argue the zoo is not the best place for the elephants, and that they should live their remaining years at The Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee.

Zoo Director Brenden Wiley says the zoo is committed to providing the elephants, Sunda and Tembo the best care possible. He told 13 News Thursday that the zoo is committed to making good decisions for its animals and the community.
