TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Tuesday marked National Voter Registration Day, and Shawnee County's League of Women voters is doing its part to get young voters signed up for the general election.
League volunteers Tuesday wrapped up a week of visits to area high schools, registering students who will turn 18 by the November 6th election.
The league says it's a great opportunity to remind the teens of the importance to get involved and their responsibility to vote.
October 16th is the deadline to register to vote in the November elections.
