TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)--Topeka is recognizing the city's employees for all their hard work and they'll get a free ride for it.
Sunday begins Public Service Recognition Week and federal, state, city and county government employees can ride free on the Topeka Metro Bus System all week long.
Government employees who are certified for the lift service can get up to two free trips per day.
Topeka metro general manager susan duffy said this is a great way to say thank you to those in public service.
