TOPEKA – Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback and Commerce Secretary Pat George will lead a state delegation to the 2013 International Paris Air Show from July 17-23 in France. The state delegation will be joined by representatives from the Greater Wichita Economic Development Coalition (GWEDC) and several Kansas-based businesses active in aviation.

“We have done a lot during the last two years to greatly improve the business and tax climate in Kansas,” Gov. Brownback said. “With our improved business environment, skilled workforce and strong economic development tools, Kansas is an attractive place for aviation and aviation-related companies to expand.”

In addition, the delegation and GWEDC will help Kansas companies increase their exposure to international markets. Exporting in Kansas increased to $11.66 billion in 2012, and the largest sector, aircraft sales, had $2.07 billion in exports.
