TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Topeka Goodyear workers are watching the progress of contract talks.
Goodyear's four-year contract with United Steelworkers union members expires July 27th - next week Saturday. It covers some 8,000 workers at six North American plants, including Topeka.
Union and company leaders are negotiating issues including pension, benefits and wages. Their 2009 talks met the contract expiration deadline, but disagreements in 2006 led to an 84-day strike.
