Goodwin Joins Other Selections for "20 Under 40"

TOPEKA, Kan. – The Jayhawk Area Council is excited to announce the 2012 honorees for Greater Topeka’s 20 Under 40!

The 20 Honorees were chosen for their leadership and achievement both professionally and as members of the community. A selection committee—which included more than 20 established Topeka leaders and students from the Washburn University Leadership Institute—spent hours determining the final candidates after reviewing nomination forms and applications. The selection came after 121 nominations were made from the community.

The 2012 Honorees are:

“I would like to thank those individuals who volunteered their time to review all the applications received. Their task was not an easy one,” said Wayne Pancoast, Scout Executive of the Jayhawk Area Council.

The honorees will be recognized at a banquet on November 15 at the Ramada Hotel and Convention Center. Reception begins at 5:30 PM with awards banquet following. For more details, go to and select the 20 Under 40 logo.

The Jayhawk Area Council, Boy Scouts of America serves over 6,000 youth in eleven counties in Central and North Central Kansas. Our mission is to prepare young people to make ethical choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
