WICHITA, Kan. — Police are trying to determine if an elderly man's car was stolen by the same person who helped him after he fell the day before.

It happened around 4 p.m. Friday in the 1300 block of West Greenfield. That's near Pawnee and Seneca in southwest Wichita. Constantine Sauer, 89, was using a leaf blower on his lawn when he tripped and fell. Another man approached, helped the Sauer up and into his house.

Saturday morning, Sauer couldn't find his car keys. He then realized his car was gone.

He reported the theft to police, and told them about the man who helped him the day before. He told officers he had never seen the other man, and was unable to provide a description.

Police are now looking at the possibility that "good samaritan" took the car after helping Sauer inside.

The car they're looking for is a 4-door 1995 Chrysler Concorde. It's red and gray, but tag information was not provided.
