TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Girl Scout cookie season is just five days away -- but some lucky kids got theirs early.

Girl Scouts from Berryton Elementary School's fifth grade class visited Easter Seals Capper Foundation Monday morning. The girls read to children in the preschools program. They then passed out cookies as part of the Girl Scout's "Cookie Share" program.

The program is for people who don't particularly need or want cookies, but want to support the Girl Scouts anyway.

Scouts will begin taking orders Saturday, Oct. 20.
