GEARY COUNTY, Kan. (WIBW) -- A Junction City couple is recovering from injuries after being trapped inside their car and rescued from the scene of a rollover accident.

On Saturday, June 8, 2013 at 2 PM, deputies with the Geary County Sheriff's Department responded to the 5400 block of Davis Creek Rd. for the report of a single vehicle crash.

Officials say Eileen Jury and her husband, George Jury, were traveling south on Davis Creek when their 2007 Toyota Camry left the roadway to the right.

"It appears the driver over corrected and the vehicle started to loose control," reports stated.

The vehicle crossed the roadway and entered the ditch on the left side of the roadway before rolling over several times and coming to a rest on its roof.

The Jurys were pulled from their overturned car by Junction City Fire/EMS.

Mrs. Jury was transported to Mercy Regional Hospital by Junction City Fire/EMS with head and neck pain with a possible broken leg.

Mr. Jury was airlifted to Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka with a head injury.

Two deputies were treated at Geary Community Hospital for minor cuts and scrapes they received as they assisted at the accident scene.

Officials said the victims' injuries were not life-threatening.
